CamSoda AI review: what it is, what it costs, and what the paywall doesn't say

CamSoda AI (camsoda.ai) is the AI-girlfriend product of the CamSoda cam site — same company, new machinery. We went through every public surface of it: the character roster, the chat composer, the image/video generator, the simulated live shows, the paywall, and the terms and conditions. This review covers what we verified first-hand on 2026-07-03, with screenshots. Where we haven't tested something yet, we say so — scores wait for our standardized bench, not vibes.

The short version

The most interesting thing about CamSoda AI is the thing nobody else has: simulated live cam shows with an XP/level system and a tip-menu of actions, ported straight from the cam site's playbook. Chat, spicy image generation, and a character creator round out a genuinely first-party product from a 10+-year-old adult brand — with real compliance pages, Epoch billing, and discreet statements. The catch is the pricing communication: the advertised $0.99–$2.99/mo is intro pricing that renews at $19.95/mo per their own terms, tokens are final-sale, and unused tokens are forfeited when you cancel. Go in knowing that and it's one of the more capable NSFW companion apps we track.

What CamSoda AI actually is

First question for anything in this vertical: who runs it? Here the paper trail is unusually clean. The records custodian on the site's 18 U.S.C. §2257 statement is Secure Live Media, LLC, Miami Beach FL — CamSoda's operating entity. Billing runs through Epoch, the adult industry's oldest mainstream payment processor, named in the site footer. The site carries a Free Speech Coalition membership. So this is the actual cam company building an AI product, not a white-label reseller wearing the brand — a distinction that matters in a vertical where most "apps" are the same engine behind different logos.

The product itself is browser-only (desktop and mobile web, no app store presence), and splits into four surfaces: character chat, simulated live shows, an image/video generator, and a custom character creator.

The roster: 200+ characters, including AI twins of real cam models

The library claims 200+ characters, browsable without an account. Each has an attribute-sheet profile — age, body type, personality, hobbies, environment, a literal 1–10 "sexual desire" stat — plus prompt-style backstory sections. The detail that stands out: some characters are AI versions of real CamSoda performers ("Katt Leya AI" and others), which no pure-AI competitor can offer. Custom characters (look, personality, voice, backstory) are a Premium feature; they save to your account and chat with separate memory per character.

Chat: solid composer, but the free wall is closer than advertised

Anyone can open any character's chat logged-out. The composer has photo requests, video requests, a 🌶️ Spicy toggle, and voice replies — all in one window, which is cleaner than the mode-switching most competitors do. Two things we verified that the marketing copy doesn't lead with:

Reply quality, memory depth, and actual free-tier limits need a logged-in, paid pass — that's scheduled as part of our bench v0 and this page will be updated with scores when it lands (changes get logged to the tracker profile, as always).

The live shows: the feature nobody else has

This is the reason CamSoda AI is worth a review at all. Every character has a live mode: an AI-generated video stream of the character with a chat box ("Ask Anything") and a sidebar of show actions — exactly the tip-menu interaction model from live cam sites, rebuilt on generated video. There's an XP/level progression: you start at Level 1 with tame actions available (Turn Around, Bounce), earn XP toward Level 2, or pay 15 tokens to skip the wait. The explicit menu — Strip, Bend Over, Handjob, Blowjob, Missionary, Doggy — is sign-up-gated and escalates with levels.

A live show at Level 1, captured 2026-07-03: free actions on top, the explicit menu gated behind signup and levels.

Mechanically this is shrewd: it takes the strongest monetization loop in adult entertainment (tip for the next act) and removes the human performer's schedule from it. It is also, obviously, a token furnace — the level-skip alone prices at 15 tokens. We'll publish real token-burn numbers from the paid bench; treat the live mode as the premium attraction it's designed to be.

The generator: structured NSFW image and video creation

The generator is a structured prompt builder rather than a bare prompt box: pick a character (required), then optionally an action, outfit, scene, pose, expression, and accessories, or type a custom prompt. A Spicy Mode toggle separates SFW from NSFW output. Image generation is labeled at 1 token per image; video comes in 5-second presets. Output requires an account, so quality assessment waits for the bench like everything else behind the wall.

Pricing: the real numbers, including the ones in the terms

The paywall is a three-step modal (plan → account → payment) with three tiers under a sitewide "70% off" banner:

Plan Advertised What the terms add
Free account $0 — Google or email signup Text chat advertised as unlimited; extras need Premium/tokens
Premium, 1 month $2.99/mo ("regular price") Auto-renews at US$19.95/mo after the purchased period (terms, modified 2025-11-10). One-time 200-token bonus on first purchase.
Premium, 3 months $1.99/mo (50% off)
Premium, 12 months $0.99/mo (70% off)
Tokens Priced in bundles at checkout Final sale, no refunds, non-transferable — and forfeited if you cancel

Fee traps, verified in their terms

Worth stating plainly: an intro-price-then-$19.95 pattern is standard practice across adult subscriptions, and CamSoda discloses it — in the terms, where nobody reads. We flag it here because our pricing table flags this pattern for every app, whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with it.

Is it safe to use?

On the evidence available logged-out: better paperwork than most of the vertical. The operator is identifiable (Secure Live Media, LLC), billing is via Epoch with a discreet descriptor the site explicitly promises ("never appears as Camsoda AI on statements"), there's a §2257 exemption statement covering the AI-generated content, a report-content channel, and a stated policy of reporting suspected minors to NCMEC. The site claims chats are encrypted in transit and at rest, aren't visible to other users, and aren't used to train public models — those are claims we can't audit from outside, so treat them as the operator's word. As with every app we track: assume chat logs exist on someone's server, and write accordingly.

What we haven't tested yet

Everything behind the account wall: real free-tier limits, chat quality and memory, image/video output quality, token bundle pricing and burn rates, live-show levels beyond Level 1, and what the "free credit-card join" flow actually asks for. That's the standardized paid bench — S1 through S7 in our published methodology — and it's why this review carries no score yet. We don't score what we haven't measured; when the bench runs, the score and dated receipts land here and in the changelog.

Verdict: who should try it

If you want the closest thing to a cam-site experience without a human on the other end — live-show mechanics, photo/video on demand, characters modeled on real performers — CamSoda AI is currently the only product doing it, and it's run by an established operator rather than an anonymous skin. Take the free account, take the intro price if you upgrade, and set a calendar reminder for the renewal date. If what you actually want is deep conversational memory or companionship-first chat, the engine here is built for a different job — check our switching guides for the apps that optimize for that.

FAQ

Is CamSoda AI free?

Partly. Creating an account is free (Google or email, no upfront payment), and the site advertises unlimited text chat on free accounts. But logged-out visitors cannot send a single message — the first send opens the signup funnel — and voice replies, image generation, video, custom characters, and the explicit live-show actions all sit behind Premium and a token balance. We have not yet verified how far the free tier actually stretches; that is in our paid test pass.

Is CamSoda AI legit, and who runs it?

It is the real CamSoda company, not a licensed clone. The records custodian on its 18 U.S.C. §2257 compliance page is Secure Live Media, LLC of Miami Beach, FL — the entity behind camsoda.com. Payments run through Epoch, a long-established adult-industry payment processor, and the site is a Free Speech Coalition member.

Are the CamSoda AI girls real people?

No — every character is AI-generated, and the site’s §2257 exemption statement says the depictions portray no actual persons. Some characters are AI versions of real CamSoda cam models (for example “Katt Leya AI”), but the chat, photos, video, and live shows are all generated.

How much does CamSoda AI really cost?

The paywall shows $2.99/month (1 month), $1.99/month (3 months), or $0.99/month (12 months) under a sitewide 70%-off promo. The terms and conditions state the subscription then auto-renews at US$19.95 per month. Tokens for images, video, and live-show actions are purchased on top, are final-sale with no refunds, and any unused balance is forfeited if you cancel.

Does CamSoda AI show up on my bank statement?

The site states billing is handled by third-party processors (Epoch) and “never appears as Camsoda AI on statements.” Expect a neutral Epoch-style descriptor rather than the brand name.

How do I cancel a CamSoda AI subscription?

Per the terms: cancel from your account or by emailing [email protected] before the current period ends, otherwise it renews automatically at $19.95/month. Note that cancelling forfeits any unused token balance, so spend tokens down first.

Is CamSoda AI the same as CamSoda?

Same company, different product. camsoda.com is the live cam site with human performers; camsoda.ai is its AI spin-off — AI characters doing chat, generated photos and video, and simulated “live shows” that reuse the cam site’s tip-menu mechanics.

Provenance

Everything above was verified hands-on on 2026-07-03 in a logged-out browser session: homepage, character profiles and chat composer, live mode at Level 1, the generator UI, the paywall modal, and the terms & conditions (last modified 2025-11-10 per the document). Screenshots are unedited captures from that session. Structural changes get appended to the CamSoda AI tracker profile as dated changelog events — subscribe to the changelog feed to see them as they land.
