CamSoda AI: what it costs, what's free, and what it allows

CamSoda AI Premium costs $9.99 for one month, or $4.99 and $2.49 a month on the 3-month and 12-month plans. Its terms say the subscription renews at $19.95 a month, a price the checkout never shows. Premium adds a monthly token allowance for images, video and live-show actions; a free account keeps unlimited text chat.

What we checked: 11 pages on camsoda.ai and the App Store, with the prices re-read from a US connection on 2026-09-27. Everything was read logged out and nothing was bought. We kept 66 quotes word for word (the receipts at the bottom) and a dated screenshot.

What we found

• Prices have gone up since our July review. On July 3 the paywall showed $2.99 for one month, $1.99 a month for three and $0.99 a month for twelve. It now shows $9.99, $4.99 and $2.49, the same '70% Off' banner on top.
• The renewal price is still in the terms only. They say the subscription 'will renew at the rate of US$19.95 per month', double the $9.99 the checkout calls the 'Regular Price', while the checkout says 'No hidden fees' and shows no renewal price at any step we could reach logged out. The terms only describe a one-month subscription, so what the 3- and 12-month plans renew at is not stated anywhere public.
• 'Unlimited' images still cost tokens. The homepage says image generation is unlimited on Premium, but the generator charges 2 tokens an image, a chat photo request (4 images by default) 8 tokens, and a 5-second video 12.
• The token promise disagrees with itself, as it did in July: the checkout lists '300 Free Tokens Monthly', the terms 'a one-time bonus of two hundred tokens' on your first purchase.
• Tokens are final sale, and any left when you cancel are forfeited. Cancelling is done on the site or by emailing [email protected].
• The privacy promises live only in homepage marketing ('encrypted in transit and at rest', 'not used to train public models'); the privacy policy (updated November 10, 2024) is CamSoda's cam-site policy, asks for fields like income and religion, and never mentions AI chats, training or encryption.
• The free tier is described three ways: the homepage says unlimited text chat free with photos paid, the Premium checkout sells 'Unlimited Messaging' as a member benefit, and the /nsfw-ai-chat landing page says free accounts get 'unlimited messaging and image generation'. The homepage also says Premium makes image generation 'uncapped', but images cost tokens.
• The terms name no company. The only entity on the site is Secure Live Media, LLC (Miami Beach), listed as 2257 records custodian; the 2257 statement was 'LAST UPDATED ON 05/16/2015', older than the product.
• Explicit content is allowed, within limits: the terms ban even roleplay of forced or violent content, plus incest, blood, fisting and asphyxiation, and a word filter blocks restricted prompts.
• Takedown timelines disagree: the terms say reports are resolved within seven business days, the Report Content page says five.

What CamSoda AI is

CamSoda AI is an AI girlfriend chat app: characters chat back, send photos and remember past conversations; 200+ ready-made characters or build your own. The site presents itself as a separate product made by the CamSoda cam site. It says it is built by the CamSoda team on the chat engine CamSoda built for live cam interaction. Web only: it runs in desktop and mobile browsers with nothing to install.

No iOS app: the US App Store search returns zero results for 'camsoda' and 'camsoda ai'. Billing runs through the payment processor Epoch. The only company named anywhere on the site is Secure Live Media, LLC of Miami Beach, Florida, listed as the custodian of records in the 2257 statement (the CamSoda entity). The terms and privacy policy name no company. Disputes go to American Arbitration Association arbitration held only in Miami-Dade County, Florida; class actions are waived.

• Character library: 200+ ready-made characters, each with a profile, personality and look.
• Custom characters: A character creator sets appearance, personality, voice and backstory. The homepage FAQ puts custom characters on the paid plans. (paid)
• Memory: Characters remember names and past messages; each character keeps separate memory. Premium is said to add longer memory windows.
• Voice replies: Tap the mic to talk; the character answers with synthesized audio in her assigned voice. Paid per the homepage FAQ. (paid)
• Photos in chat: Ask a character for a photo in chat and she replies with a generated image matching her look. The chat box has image and 5-second video request buttons and a 'Spicy' toggle; each request costs tokens (see pricing evidence). (paid)
• Live Action game, private content, Telegram: Character pages link to a 'Live Action Game' (the 'LIVE' shows), paid 'Private Content', a pics-and-videos generator, and a 'Chat on Telegram' option.
• Premium benefits: The Premium checkout (09-22 capture) lists 300 tokens a month, private content, unlimited messaging, custom companions and spicy 18+ images and videos. (paid)
• Free tier (landing-page wording): CamSoda AI's own /nsfw-ai-chat landing page says free accounts include image generation, which contradicts the homepage FAQ (photo generation is paid).

Prices as we read them on 2026-09-27. They change often in this category, so check them on CamSoda AI's own site before paying.

What you get free

• The homepage says a free account includes unlimited text chat with every character in the library.
• Voice replies, photo generation and custom characters need Premium.
• Logged out, the live shows let you try two actions, Turn Around and Bounce; the rest are locked behind signup.

What tokens cost

Token prices come from the buttons on the site. Token packs are only shown after you create an account, so we cannot say what a token costs in dollars.

What CamSoda AI allows

• The terms say outright that the platform has explicit sexual content in text, images, video and audio.
• Anything involving minors is banned, including sexual discussion about minors, and gets the account banned and reported to NCMEC.
• Violent or forced content is banned even as roleplay, so non-consent roleplay is off the table.
• Named banned categories include violence, torture, erotic asphyxiation, fisting, rape and any blood.
• Incest is banned whatever the ages involved.
• A word filter blocks restricted prompts in the chat box.
• All characters are fictional and declared to be over 18.

Age rules and verification

• You must be 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
• The live shows sit behind an age-verification prompt (seen from an EU connection; we could not render the page from the US).
• The privacy policy says age verification uses a government ID, and Jumio or Incode may create a 3D scan of your face geometry from it.
• Suspected minors are banned and their account details reported to NCMEC.

Who can read your chats

The terms say every account is subject to live review, to spot anyone using the platform without their own consent. They do not say how much of your chats reviewers see. ID photos sent for age checks are reviewed by CamSoda staff or its age-verification vendor.

Training on your chats

The homepage says chats are not used to train public models. The privacy policy says nothing about AI training either way.

Sharing with third parties

De-identified data can go to advertising networks, and third-party marketing partners are used for targeted marketing; cookies track which advertiser referred you and tailor ads. The policy says it does not cover what you share with other users through chat messages; that should be treated as public. It is the CamSoda cam-site policy (profile fields like height, income, religion) and never mentions AI chats specifically. Anything you upload grants the platform and its third-party advertisers a perpetual, irrevocable license, including for advertising. The homepage says card statements never show 'Camsoda AI'.

Selling your data

The terms promise not to resell your personal information.

How long they keep it

Data is kept under an internal retention policy and deletion requests are honored within legal and card-network limits; no time periods are given. The policy was last updated November 10, 2024.

Deleting your data

To get a copy or deletion of your data, email the DPO ([email protected], or [email protected] in the EU).

Encryption

The homepage says chats are encrypted in transit and at rest. The privacy policy itself says nothing about encryption.

Renewal, refunds, cancelling and deleting your account

• Renewal: The one-month subscription renews automatically at US$19.95 a month unless cancelled before the period ends. The terms do not say what longer plans renew at.
• Renewal: The terms let CamSoda change fees with or without notice, and a billing error you do not report within 30 days counts as accepted.
• Refunds: Token purchases are 'final sale', with no refund even if the account is closed.
• Cancelling: Cancel on the website or by email to [email protected]. Access to members' areas and any remaining tokens end straight away.
• Your account: Account deletion is by request, and you must still be able to log in to ask for it.
• Your account: Cancel a membership by emailing [email protected]; the terms describe no in-app cancel button.
• Your account: The one-month subscription renews automatically at US$19.95 a month unless you cancel before it ends.
• Your account: Tokens left in the account are forfeited when you cancel or are terminated, and token purchases are final sale.
