OurDream AI: what it costs, what's free, and what it allows

OurDream has two plans: Premium at $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year, and Deluxe at $59.99 a month or $359.88 a year. The yearly plans are advertised as $9.99 and $29.99 a month but are charged upfront in one payment. Premium includes 1,000 dreamcoins a month and Deluxe 5,000; coins pay for images, video and voice. There is no ongoing free plan: without a subscription every message costs a coin, and OurDream is web only.

What we checked: 31 pages on ourdream.ai, help.ourdream.ai and safety.ourdream.ai, with the prices re-read from a US connection on 2026-09-27. Everything was read logged out and nothing was bought. We kept 84 quotes word for word (the receipts at the bottom) and a dated screenshot.

What we found

• Deluxe is the tier most listings miss. For $59.99 a month it adds 5,000 coins a month, the premium chat models at no coin cost and three times the chat memory.
• Coins bought on top of a plan can be cheaper than the ones in it. Premium's 1,000 monthly coins work out at 2 cents each, the 5,000-coin add-on at $49.99 at 1 cent, and the 20,000 add-on at $159.99 at 0.8 cents. Coins can only be bought with an active subscription.
• Video eats the allowance. A 5-second clip is 100 coins and the 60-second maximum is 1,200, more than a whole Premium month. By OurDream's own maths 1,000 coins is about 200 images, 20 minutes of voice calls or 10 short videos.
• Leaving costs you your library. When a subscription ends, every image and video you generated, and any character packs you bought, are blurred until you subscribe again. A refund removes your unused coins, and resubscribing does not bring old coins back.
• OurDream's help center says there are no free coins and images and video need a subscription. Its marketing blog describes a one-time 55-coin trial, and another OurDream page claims free users can make images and video. We go by the help center.
• The homepage FAQ's 'end-to-end encryption ... No one can read them, not even us' is contradicted by the company's own documents: the privacy policy claims only at-rest/in-transit encryption and allows chat data to train models, and the Trust & Safety summary says third-party AI providers see every message and staff can with consent or legal process. Do not repeat the E2E claim.
• Cleanest real-person policy of the three image apps: no photo uploads of any kind ('due to possible deepfakes'), a blanket ban on real people including private individuals and lookalike fictional characters, and hard limits that apply to private generations too. Passes the no-nudify screen.
• Trustpilot has removed OurDream's profile as going 'against our guidelines', yet OurDream's own free-AI-girlfriend blog page still quotes Trustpilot reviewers.
• The free tier is contradictory: the help center says images and video need a subscription and there are no free coins, while the company's /free-ai-girlfriend page promises a one-time 55-dreamcoin trial with chat, images and video 'accessible without a subscription'. Our 09-22 correction (no permanent free tier) holds.
• Age checks go beyond a checkbox where law requires: UK and Australian users are routed to Go.cam or AgeVerif (face estimation, selfie, ID or card). Yet the homepage explore filters still list a 'Teen' category despite the minors policy.

What OurDream AI is

OurDream describes itself as an AI roleplay platform where you build a customisable companion, chat, generate images and make voice calls. Web only: there is no native app; the help center tells iPhone and Android users to add the site to their home screen. No OurDream app appears in US App Store search. The homepage claims over 10 million users and 7 million user-made characters (company claim, unverified). OurDream is operated by Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation; the terms cover both ourdream.ai and ourdream.io.

The company's legal address is a Dover, Delaware registered-agent style suite; terms and privacy policy were last modified August 26, 2026. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration (JAMS, hearings in San Francisco) with a class-action waiver; you can opt out within 30 days.

• Custom AI companion: Build a companion's appearance (realistic or anime), personality and voice; companions keep memory of past chats.
• NSFW image and video generation: Generate explicit images and videos of your AI companion; this requires a subscription per the help center. (paid)
• Voice calls and audio messages: Voice calls and audio messages are paid for with dreamcoins. (paid)
• Group chats: Chats can include several characters; you pick which one replies.
• Community packs: A character's whole image and video library can be unlocked for 1,000 coins, viewable only while subscribed. (paid)
• Public character submissions: Only premium accounts can publish public characters, and each one is manually reviewed (usually 3 to 5 days). (paid)

• Referral bonus: The help center's community FAQ says referrals are the only way to get free dreamcoins: someone signs up with your referral code and you get bonus coins.

What dreamcoins pay for

From OurDream's help center. Subscribers chat on the standard models for free. Extra coins can only be added to a subscription: 1,000 for $11.99, 5,000 for $49.99 or 20,000 for $159.99.

What OurDream AI allows

• Explicit content is the point of the product: the homepage calls it a no-limits platform for any fantasy and an AI porn generator.
• No photo uploads at all: the help center says reference-photo uploads are not allowed because of deepfakes and legal problems.
• Real people are banned outright: no celebrities, athletes, public figures, private individuals, or fictional characters closely matching a real actor or model (alive or dead under 100 years). Narrow parody of public figures is allowed.
• Minors are banned under any framing, including coded cues such as childlike body proportions, 'about to turn 18', school settings or loli art; the hard limits apply to private chats and generations too.
• Hard limits apply in private as well as public; a few categories (fetishes, parody IP) are stricter only for public submissions.
• Non-consent roleplay is allowed only when the user is on the receiving side; scenarios casting the user as the perpetrator, slavery, drugging, hypnosis and similar are banned. Incest (biological family), bestiality, scat, vore, gore and self-harm are also banned.
• Public characters can no longer be direct adaptations of existing media characters or reference them in image prompts.
• Automated content filters are admittedly over-sensitive, kept strict because of payment-processor requirements.
• The homepage explore filters still include a 'Teen' category next to 'Step-Fantasy', 'Bully' and 'College Student'.

Age rules and verification

• Users must be 18 or older; sign-up includes an 18+ attestation and, where law requires, age verification.
• Everyone confirms age at sign-up; users in the UK, Australia and other jurisdictions that require it must pass third-party identity verification (Go.cam or AgeVerif: face age estimation, live selfie, government ID or credit card) before mature features.
• OurDream says it receives only a pass/fail signal and never the ID image, selfie or liveness video.

Who can read your chats

The Trust & Safety privacy summary says staff see private chats only with your explicit support consent or for a lawful legal request, and third-party AI model providers process every message you send.

Training on your chats

The privacy policy lets OurDream use collected information, which includes chat communications, to train its AI models.

Sharing with third parties

No advertising today, but the policy reserves the right to share information with advertising and analytics partners in future. Images you generate from a public character go automatically into that character's public pack, stripped of who made them.

Selling your data

The Trust & Safety commitments say chats and user data are not for sale; the privacy policy says it does not currently sell data under Nevada law but may 'share' online identifiers with ad partners under California's definition.

How long they keep it

Data is kept as long as needed, and a popular public character you made may stay live even after you delete your account. Your generated images and videos are blurred if you unsubscribe and unblurred if you return, so they are kept on the account.

Deleting your data

Account deletion is in Settings, Account management (help center: profile page, 'danger zone'); it deletes generations, unpublished characters and chat history, takes 24 to 48 hours and is permanent.

Encryption

The homepage FAQ claims chats are end-to-end encrypted and unreadable even by OurDream. The privacy policy only claims encryption at rest and in transit (AES, TLS 1.3), which is not end-to-end.

Renewal, refunds, cancelling and deleting your account

• Renewal: Yearly plans are one upfront charge, then nothing for 12 months; coins still arrive monthly (2,000 upfront on yearly Premium, then 1,000 a month).
• Renewal: Plan coins land on each renewal date at 2pm Eastern. Coins you buy on top stay until you spend them.
• Renewal: You can change plan or tier at any time; OurDream shows the pro-rata credit before you confirm.
• Refunds: Nothing is refunded once more than 25% of a purchase has been used, and monthly plans are not refunded once their coins are spent. Yearly plans may get a full or partial refund.
• Refunds: Crypto payments are never refunded. A refund removes unused coins and blurs your media.
• Refunds: The refund policy covers defects or not-as-described within 14 days, case by case, plus the 14-day withdrawal right in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, which can be lost once you use the service.
• Refunds: A chargeback filed without contacting support first can get the account suspended.
• Cancelling: Cancel from your profile page. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for; there is no automatic refund.
• Cancelling: When the subscription ends, generated images and videos are blurred until you resubscribe, and a new subscription does not restore old unused coins.
• Your account: To delete: go to ourdream.ai/profile, scroll to the 'danger zone', click delete my account and follow the prompts; processing takes 24 to 48 hours.
• Your account: Deletion auto-cancels an active subscription, forfeits unused dreamcoins, and cannot be undone.
