SpicyChat: what it costs, what's free, and what it allows

SpicyChat has a free tier and three paid plans: Get a Taste at $5.95, True Supporter at $19.95 and I'm All In at $29.95 a month, or $60, $199.95 and $299.95 a year. Those prices apply from September 8, 2026, when SpicyChat raised every plan; True Supporter went up by a third.

What we checked: 20 pages on spicychat.ai, docs.spicychat.ai and Trustpilot, with the prices re-read from a US connection on 2026-09-27. Everything was read logged out and nothing was bought. We kept 58 quotes word for word (the receipts at the bottom) and a dated screenshot.

What we found

• The September 8 rise hit the middle plan hardest: True Supporter went from $14.95 to $19.95 a month (+33%), against +19% for Get a Taste ($5 to $5.95) and +20% for I'm All In ($24.95 to $29.95). Yearly plans were $50, $149.95 and $249.95 before.
• The cheapest plan does not give the AI a longer memory. Free and Get a Taste share the same 4,096-token context and the same 180-token reply cap; Get a Taste adds no ads, the Memory Manager and up to 10 personas. Replies up to 300 tokens start at True Supporter.
• Paying yearly saves about 16% on every plan: True Supporter is $199.95 a year against $239.40 for twelve months.
• UK prices are set separately rather than converted: £4.95, £16.95 and £25.95 a month. Euro prices use the same numbers as dollars.
• There is no SpicyChat app in the App Store or on Google Play. SpicyChat has no native iOS app, and on Android the official app is an APK from its own website.
• The terms contradict themselves on chat privacy: one clause says staff are barred from unauthorized access to chats, another says 'operators of the Service may read all messages You send', and a third gives SpicyChat a perpetual licence to 'use, sell, license the content generated through chats'.
• The privacy policy was last updated May 4, 2023 and says nothing about age checks, AI models or chat content; the terms (July 23, 2026) carry all the chat-data rules instead.
• The terms contain no minimum-age clause; the 18+ rule lives in the community guidelines and privacy policy. Third-party selfie/ID age checks lock NSFW content in France, UK, Italy, Australia and 26 US states.
• The rules are stricter than an 'uncensored' pitch suggests: all family and step-family roleplay, non-consent even in fiction, and any photorealistic imagery are banned.

What SpicyChat is

SpicyChat pitches itself as a chatbot roleplay site with less content moderation than its rivals, paid for by subscriptions, and says core features stay free. SpicyChat is run by NextDay AI Incorporated of Montreal, Canada, with a US subsidiary in Delaware and an EU subsidiary in Cyprus. The company says about sixty people work on the site. Platforms: web, plus an Android app installed as a direct APK download from spicychat.ai (not on Google Play). There is no iOS app; iPhone users are told to add the website to the home screen.

Apple removed the SpicyChat iOS app from the App Store in August 2025 for not complying with its guidelines. The same company runs PixelChat, a SFW sister app on Google Play; a subscription bought there also applies to SpicyChat. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration under Canadian rules, and Quebec law governs.

• Character library (user-made chatbots): The download page advertises a library of more than 300,000 NSFW characters.
• Group chats: Group chats put 2 to 10 chatbots into one conversation; public groups get human moderation before listing.
• Free AI models: Several models are available to everyone, including a 26B default model with up to 32K context.
• Ad-free, 4K memory, Memory Manager: The lowest paid tier (Get A Taste) removes ads, adds 4K context memory, the Memory Manager and up to 10 personas. (paid)
• Semantic Memory 2.0: The character writes its own memories of the conversation, which you can edit, delete or pin. Part of True Supporter and up. (paid)
• Conversation images (image generation): Characters can generate an image of the current scene, with an NSFW mode that allows nudity. Only True Supporter and I'm All In; True Supporter only for select characters. (paid)
• Text-to-speech voices: Characters can read replies aloud in a chosen voice, with a narration mode. Top tier only; this is read-aloud, not live calls. (paid)
• Priority generation and advanced models: I'm All In puts you at the front of the queue and unlocks every model, including SpicyXL. (paid)

What you get free

• Chat is free with ads, a 4,096-token context and replies capped at 180 tokens.

What SpicyChat allows

• Explicit roleplay is the product: every bot, even ones filed as SFW, can do NSFW roleplay.
• Terms ban content involving minors (including fictional ones), real identifiable people, deepfakes, non-consent, incest, bestiality, sexual violence and sex with incapacitated people.
• The guidelines go further than most NSFW sites: all family roleplay is banned, including step-family and in-laws.
• Non-consent is banned even as fiction, but power-dynamic roleplay such as guard and inmate is allowed.
• Photorealistic images are banned: no realistic porn and no pictures of real people, so the site's imagery is anime or semi-realistic.
• Extreme violence is allowed only when it is not mixed with sex.
• Users can hide or blur NSFW bots and images in their profile settings.

Age rules and verification

• The community guidelines set the minimum age at 18, and every bot must be an adult.
• In some places NSFW content is locked until you pass an age check by a third-party partner: a video selfie, falling back to ID, or ID with face match in some regions.
• Age checks apply in France, the UK, Italy, Australia and 26 US states (including Texas, Florida, Virginia and Utah), decided by your IP address.
• Without verification in those places you can still use the site, but not NSFW content.
• SpicyChat says it never sees the selfie or ID; the partner only returns yes or no.

Who can read your chats

The terms say staff and contractors are barred from unauthorized access to chats and sign data protection agreements. The same terms also say chats are not confidential and the site's operators may read every message you send. SpicyChat keeps the right to access, review, edit and delete your content, especially to enforce its rules.

Training on your chats

Neither the privacy policy nor the terms mention training AI models on chats. The broad licence to use chats "for any purpose" does not rule it out.

Sharing with third parties

The privacy policy allows sharing personal information with service providers, affiliates and business partners who offer you products or promotions. Content is handed to authorities only on official request, or to comply with law and protect safety; suspected CSAM is reported.

Selling your data

By using the service you give SpicyChat a perpetual, irrevocable licence to your bots, chats and generations, and the terms say it will use, sell and license chat content. You still own it.

How long they keep it

Chats are kept as long as needed for the service and legal reasons, then deleted or anonymized; SpicyChat may also delete chats without notice. The privacy policy is old: last updated May 4, 2023, while the terms were updated July 23, 2026.

Deleting your data

Users can ask for their personal data and chat history to be deleted, except where the law requires keeping it.

Encryption

The only encryption claim is a vague one: encryption and anonymization "where appropriate". No end-to-end encryption is claimed.

Renewal, refunds, cancelling and deleting your account

• Refunds: SpicyChat's terms set no refund window or rules; refunds are a matter of contacting support.
• Your account: Delete your account from Profile: scroll to the bottom, open Advanced, choose Delete Account and confirm. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, but the same email can sign up again.
