DarLink: what it costs, what's free, and what it allows

DarLink costs $12.99 a month for Essential, $27.99 for Advanced or $49.99 for Ultimate, paid on darlink.ai. The cheapest way to pay is Essential by the year: one payment of $119.88, which works out at $9.99 a month. A free account is limited to 5 messages, 3 images a day and 1 character, going by the upgrade pop-ups in DarLink's own site code.

What we checked: 9 pages on darlink.ai and api.darlink.ai, with the prices re-read from a US connection on 2026-10-03. Everything was read logged out and nothing was bought. We kept 70 quotes word for word (the receipts at the bottom) and a dated screenshot.

What we found

• The big number on every plan card is a price per day: $0.43, $0.93 and $1.67 on the Monthly tab. The Yearly tab says '$9.99 / month · billed yearly' and never shows the charge. The plan data the page loads does: one payment of $119.88 for Essential, $227.88 for Advanced or $395.88 for Ultimate. The Quarterly tab also gives only monthly figures ($10.99, $21.99 and $39.99), which come to $32.97, $65.97 and $119.97 for three months.
• The 'OFFER ENDS IN' clock above the plans is not a deadline. The page's code starts it at 10 hours 46 minutes on every load, and it read 10:45 on four separate loads within eight minutes. The Yearly tab's 'SAVE 44%' badge does not match the prices either: against paying monthly, a year saves 23% on Essential, 32% on Advanced and 34% on Ultimate.
• The 'Save' labels on token packs are measured against crossed-out prices, not against the smallest pack. The 350 pack is labelled 'Save 20%' at $34.99, which is 10 cents a token, the same as the 100 pack at $9.99. The 550 pack works out at 9.1 cents a token, the 1,150 pack at 8.7 cents and the two largest at 8 cents. So the most you save by buying big is 20%, where the label says 50%.
• Disputing a charge can expose your chats. The Refund Policy says that if you open a chargeback, DarLink may send the bank or payment processor your account and communication records as evidence, and that this may include private messages.

Prices as we read them on 2026-10-03. They change often in this category, so check them on DarLink's own site before paying.

What you get free

• No public page lists what a free account gets. DarLink's site code does, in its upgrade pop-ups: 5 free messages, 3 free images a day, 1 free character and 5 free voice messages. We did not sign up, so this is DarLink's wording rather than a test, and the pop-ups do not say whether the 5 messages are a daily or a one-time allowance.
• NSFW content and video generation need a subscription, per the same pop-ups. Logged out, the video generator shows 'Subscribe to unlock video generation' under its button.

What tokens cost and what they buy

The plan cards call the unit coins and every other page calls it tokens. At the 100-pack price an image costs about 20 cents and a video about $2, so Essential's 100 tokens a month cover 50 images or 5 videos. Videos come in 5 and 10 second lengths with one published price, and no token price is published for voice messages. The home page FAQ says each chat message also uses tokens but gives no number; the plan cards list a monthly message allowance instead.

Renewal, refunds, cancelling and deleting your account

• Renewal: Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel, per the terms. No public page says what price a plan renews at, and checkout is behind sign-in.
• Renewal: Crypto is accepted for yearly plans only and does not renew automatically, per the plan page's FAQ. Cards work for monthly and yearly plans.
• Renewal: You can move to a higher or lower plan at any time, per the same FAQ.
• Renewal: DarLink can change prices. The terms say it will tell you in advance and give existing subscribers the chance to cancel first.
• Renewal: Charges show on your card statement as DARLINK AI.
• Refunds: DarLink's two policy pages disagree. The Terms of Service call all purchases final but say a refund may be considered, at DarLink's discretion, if you ask within 24 hours of purchase and have barely used the service. The Refund Policy has no 24-hour window.
• Refunds: The Refund Policy pays back in three cases: a fraudulent charge on your card, a billing or technical error on DarLink's side, and DarLink ending your subscription through no fault of yours, which is refunded pro rata.
• Refunds: It refuses refunds for accidental purchases, a change of mind, cancelling part-way through a period, an account closed for breaking the rules and an account you ask to have deleted. Unused tokens are not refunded and have no cash value.
• Refunds: Refund requests go to [email protected], and DarLink says it answers within about 72 hours. The terms give a different address, [email protected].
• Cancelling: The terms say you can cancel in your account settings on the website or through support. The Refund Policy says cancellation takes effect once support receives your written notice.
• Cancelling: Either way, access and the plan's tokens stay until the end of the month or year you paid for. Then the account drops to the free tier.
