CamSoda AI raised Premium prices 2.5 to 3.3 times, under the same '70% off' banner
Between July 3 and September 22, 2026, CamSoda AI raised its Premium prices. One month went from $2.99 to $9.99, three months from $1.99 to $4.99 a month, and twelve months from $0.99 to $2.49 a month. The plan popup still carries the same 'LIMITED TIME OFFER: 70% OFF' banner. CamSoda's terms, unchanged since November 10, 2025, still say a one-month subscription renews at US$19.95 a month.

What happened
We don't know the exact day. Our July 3 screenshot is the last record of the old prices, and we first saw the new ones on September 22. The popup loads its prices from CamSoda's servers each time it opens, and the Internet Archive holds no copy of them, so no public capture fills the gap. We found no announcement.
The discount framing did not move with the prices. The banner still reads 'LIMITED TIME OFFER: 70% OFF', the one-month plan is still the 'Regular Price', and the 12-month plan is now labelled '75% OFF' where it said '70% OFF' in July. So the regular price more than tripled while the offer stayed limited-time.
The renewal clause is where the real price sits. CamSoda's terms say: 'When you purchase a one-month subscription, your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled before the expiration of your current purchase', and 'Your subscription will renew at the rate of US$19.95 per month.' Going by the terms, a month bought at $9.99 renews at twice that. The popup's plan and account steps show only the plan price, with no renewal price, and the terms do not say what the 3- and 12-month plans renew at.
CamSoda's own pages also disagree about tokens. The popup lists '300 Free Tokens Monthly' with every plan; the terms promise 'a one-time bonus of two hundred tokens'; and the homepage FAQ says 'Image generation is unlimited on premium', while the image generator charges 2 tokens a picture and 12 for a five-second video.
